District 4 is home to some of Atlanta’s most historic neighborhoods.

Ashview Heights was one of the first streetcar neighborhoods established in the city. Mechanicsville is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Atlanta, beginning as a multi-ethnic, working-class community of laborers employed by the many railroad companies that dominated the area.

And two of our neighborhoods, West End, and Castleberry Hill, are all on the National Register of Historic Places.
